The Kingdom of God on earth is what the Garden of Eden was. Every human need, both physical and spiritual, was fully met. Then, sin happened. Eden was lost. Humanity was put outside the garden - separated from the Kingdom of God. But, the promise of God through Christ is that one day Eden will be fully restored over the whole earth. The world now exists between Eden lost and Eden restored. There is suffering, loss and hopelessness. God calls His church to bring the message of the Kingdom of God to the world in both word and deed. The word of the kingdom invites people to know Jesus. The deeds of the kingdom restore people now in this world to a measure of the quality of life intended in Eden while looking forward to the day of complete restoration.
