The central story-line of the Bible is Jesus who has come to heal and restore. God has “threaded” the lives of a variety of imperfect people into this story-line. All of the people in the family tree leading up to Jesus had flaws in their character. They all faced suffering like everyone else. Yet, they all found restoration for their lives by faith in Jesus Christ, and each of them became a significant part of sharing God’s restoration with others, even in the middle of hard circumstances. Now, it is our turn. God is still using flawed people with problems and trials to continue the story-line of Jesus as the One who can bring restoration to people’s lives today.
