The major turning point in Moses’ life was when he discovered that God had a purpose for His life. It was then that Moses prayed, “Seventy years are given to us! Some may even reach eighty. But even the best of these years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear and we are gone… Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”. Moses saw that life is very short, very hard, and very unpredictable. So, he asked God to teach him to “number his days” in order to live wisely.
