At Calvary Church we desire to be a community that is committed to embracing life’s journey as Jesus did. Therefore, we are focused on practically, consistently and unconditionally serving everyone we have the privilege of connecting with so that they can tangibly experience the love of Christ. Taking our example and strength from Jesus himself, we desire to help real people with real needs grow towards wholeness through initiatives at home (see Shelter, Recovery Support), with partnerships close to home (see Local Initiatives) and around the world (see Global Initiatives). The strength of a church is not measured on Sunday, but by the impact it makes as the “body of Christ” during the week. Calvary Church is a gathering of passionate missionaries engaged locally and globally in sharing both the words and the works of the Gospel. We are now the “body of Christ” on the earth. We are called to see and go to people in need just as Jesus did when He was bodily present on the earth. There is opportunity for you to serve in local ministries such as children, youth, small group membership and/or leadership, prison ministry, nursing home ministry, community food pantry, ministries to the underprivileged, opening the door to a brand new ministry, and many other opportunities. Globally, you can be involved in the monthly support of our 30 plus missionaries, join in relief efforts, participate in missions trips, and be part of the developing vision at Calvary for adopting a specific need in a nation of the world in order to use your personal vocational expertise and talents in providing long-term solutions such as medical, economic, business, educational programs.
