Calvary Church

The other day I received a letter from Compassion International. The youth at Imago Dei Student Ministry sponsor a young girl in Ethiopia and from time to time we get updates on her life and the ministry that Compassion is a part of. For $32 a month our student help to cloth, feed, and educate this student. For an additional amount of money we help supply medicine to an HIV or AIDS patient in her village. And all of this is done through the local church which shares God’s love in words and works! This particular correspondence was informing partners of how funds are being spent to provide antiretroviral therapy medications [ART] to HIV/AIDS patients. It’s amazing to know that a group of students in Lemont can help someone fight this deadly virus for just $8. With faith in Christ and a dose of godly compassion we’re making a difference one person at a time.
